of Sailing Magazine
Dear SAILING subscribers,
I am sorry to have to tell that after 59 years and nearly 700 issues,
SAILING has had to cease publication. As an independent, family-owned magazine, it became impossible for SAILING to compete for advertising revenue in a publishing world dominated by large media companies wielding the marketing power of the combined circulation of their multiple boating magazines. Our final issue was the January-February 2025 issue, which was mailed to you in December.
We are grateful to the thousands of readers who over the years supported SAILING and encouraged us in our mission to live up to our motto—The Beauty of SAIL—in words and photographs reflecting all aspects of the sport we love.
We have made arrangements for you to receive another excellent sailing magazine in line of SAILING. The magazine Latitudes and Attitudes covers the sailing spectrum with lively content treating all of the aspects of sailing as a pastime, sport and lifestyle. You will receive a new issue of Latitudes and Attitudes in place of every issue remaining in your SAILING subscription.
